Frau Dr. rer nat. Sabine Saller und Professor Dr. med. Artur Mayerhofer (Anatomie III-Zellbiologie) erhielten am 20. März 2014 in Dresden gemeinsam den *Dietrich-Knorr-Preis 2014* der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Endokrinologie (DGE). Die prämierte Arbeit erschien im Fachjournal "Human Reproduction" und trägt den Titel Dopamine in human follicular fluid is associated with cellular uptake and metabolism-dependent generation of reactive oxygen species in granulosa cells: implications for physiology and pathology.

Der Dietrich-Knorr-Preis wird für die jeweils beste klinische bzw. präklinische wissenschaftliche Arbeit aus dem Gebiet der Nebenniere und/oder der Gonaden verliehen. Er ging bereits im Jahr 2009 an Professor Mayerhofer, dessen Arbeitsgruppe sich mit Fragen der Reproduktionsbiologie und -medizin beschäftigt.
Dr. rer nat. Sabine Saller and Professor Dr. med. Artur Mayerhofer (Anatomie III-Zellbiologie) are the recipients of the *Dietrich-Knorr-Preis 2014* awarded by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Endokrinologie (DGE). The prize ceremony took place in Dresden on March 20, 2014. The prize was awarded for a paper published in Human Reproduction: Dopamine in human follicular fluid is associated with cellular uptake and metabolism-dependent generation of reactive oxygen species in granulosa cells: implications for physiology and pathology<http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24287819> Among the authors (Saller S, Kunz L, Berg D, Berg U, Lara H, Urra J, Hecht S, Pavlik R, Thaler CJ, Mayerhofer A) are further scientists /clinicians of the LMU. The Dietrich-Knorr-Preis is being awarded for the best clinical or preclinical scientific contribution in the areas of adrenal and /or gonads. Professor Mayerhofer was recipient of this prize also in 2009.
